No exercise yesterday. With the soccer game and other responsibilities at home, there was just no 'me' time. Also, Kevin (my teenage son) created a new workout plan for me that we started on Monday night and the soreness has set in now. I ate too much last night also for dinner so I've gained 2.3 back. Total weight loss is still 53lbs since mid-April so that is not bad. Would love to get to 60 lbs lost by the end of this month. I am going for my first 5K on Saturday. I may have to run/walk part of it but atleast its a start and I know I can finish. A heap more than what I could say 6 months ago. Tonight - exercise video (Jillian's 30 day shred) and eating right. Still logging everything into myfitnesspal and that has helped alot. Have a great day!!

Yesterday was the last soccer game of the season. Our son is 2nd from the left along with the other 9th graders on the team. We get a one week break from sports and basketball try outs are next week.

OK - I know I said it before, but I really am re-vitalizing my blog but tweaking it a bit as well

I've really used this blog in the past for updating our family around the world of how the kids are doing. Now with facebook, that is much easier to do from that end. I am going to use this as a way to encourage/and journal my weight loss and exercise. I'll still post occasionally on how the kids are doing but it will mainly be for the weight loss/exercise journey.

Revitalizing the blog

Wow - saw a friend of mine had updated her blog and couldn't remember the last time I updated this blog. I think with facebook coming along I've gotten out of the habit of updating. But I do like the idea of keeping blog current so I promise to atleast post a couple times a month.

Big weekend coming up at church with the Ladies Spectacular so I will be posting pictures early next week. Kaitlyn is so excited she is old enough to attend as well. Kisan and Kevin will be helping out as well all weekend....it should be wonderful.

Spring Break 2010 - fishing with the family

We were able to go to Myrtle Beach for spring break this year. The entire family went deep sea fishing although we caught most of our fish in a little canal just before getting to the ocean. Kaitlyn caught the biggest fish of the day.

Fun in the Snow

The kids were so excited to get out in the snow - the bad part was walking in the snow to get to the hill. Needless to say, we had our exercise today!!

Spirit Week - guess which team we like?

Latest Fishing Trip

Biggest fish so far

Kisan and Kevin's favorite thing to do is go fishing. Well, Kevin got a BIG one this itme......a 35lb amberjack.

We just had to take a picture to remember how cute she looks! She is now missing her two top teeth and two teeth on the bottom. Isn't she adorable!!

Awards night

This year, the children surprised us at awards night. We knew Kaitlyn would get perfect attendance but didn't think she would get any other awards. We were thrilled when she made A-B honor roll and most improved in reading!!! Yeah!!!



Kevin received the history award for 5th grade which was just awesome.

Catch of the Day!!

Kevin has become quite the fisherman these days. Mr. and Mrs. Starmer gave him a a gift certificate and he got a new tackle box which is not full of all his fish 'stuff'. Anyway, here is a picture of the carp he caught today. I wish we had a picture of Kisan and Kaitlyn though.......Kaitlyn fell in the river head first so Kisan had to jump in after her (clothes/shoes and all). That would have been a great picture!!

Well, the phrase is a stolen phrase from our preacher! He always says that when the Pee Wee Patch singing group sings at church (I just love that)! They sing tonight so I will have pictures uploaded by tomorrow (hopefully in a Smilebox)...gotta broaden my techie skills abit.

March Snow

Just noticed that my last three post all have winter scenes - although I have a bad case of spring fever!! Dad had to work so the kids and I went to the hill in front of the school to sled.....boy did we have a great time!!





Kevin wanted snow cream so bad - he kept eating snow. Actually we were so tired after sledding for three hours - we never did make that snow cream did we ???


I love this picture - Kaitlyn was so freezing cold we had to take her socks off and turn the heat on high to warm her toes. I couldn't resist taking the picture. She is wiped out - can you tell??
